Are you ever really there for me?

You know how you have that one friend or those friends who are always there for you? Who will listen and help you through anything? And you'd do the same for them?

And then you have those friends who aren't "there" for you, but who are just there? All take and no give? I'm talking about these types of friends.

I know you have problems. I try to help, and I try not to yell when you act like a drama queen. I get that you want to be sad and emo all the time, but it's really, REALLY tiring trying to help you. I get that you're cousin died 5 years ago, and that you were so close to them, but why the hell would you drag that into the conversation? It has nothing to do with it. I'm not here to fucking pity you. You want pity? Go get some new friends.

Friends don't deal with each other's problems, they help each other. But lately you've been acting like you don't want my help, you just want me to sit on the sidelines and watch you suffer. So you can sound all emo and shit. If that's all you want, then you're wasting my time.

And yet when I try to talk about what's wrong in my life, you totally shut me out unless you have something to do with it. That's total bullshit, you know. You don't know shit about me because you're too caught up with your own problems. You don't give a fuck about how much I wish he was in my life. You won't listen when I try to tell you that my life feels like it's getting out of control. Tht's why I don't talk about me when I'm around you. You're just going to get me to shut up anyways.

Now, do you wonder why I seem so uninteresting? Because you won't take any of your fucking time to listen to me. You just want me to stay boring so you can seem so emo and tragic.

Looking back, I can see that you weren't ever there for me. I can see that my other friends have. They care about me, because they know that anyone can snap at anytime. I could be that person who snaps, you know. You're not the only fucking one with problems.
