My Rant is:

it's not my problem

it's a tragedy and a statistic that there are millions of people in the world, both homeless and starving, but it is not my problem. it is not my responsibility to feed a starving person, refugees in africa do not constitute an emergency in upstate new york.

i am a firm believer that you are the author of your future, and as such I believe that when you get to a certain age it becomes your responsibility to find something to eat and a place to live. if you want either of those, your gonna have to work. this is the definition of freedom, this is the definition of capitalism. people are free to fail as much as they are to succeed!

seriously, maybe if you'd look hard enough you'd find that half of these people are staying in this state because they are too lazy to get off their ass and do something about it. if you want to end world hunger, you don't need to force the rich to give, you need to change the people who are hungry.

so next time i hear someone say that "we haven't solved the problems on this world so we shouldn't be trying to colonize that world!" i'm gonna shove a steel rod with capitalism engraved on it so far up their ass that they'll be chewing a mixture of carbon and iron for the next week. fucking magneto would have a ball with you!

maybe one day we will realize that: maybe handouts, bailouts, and charities don't solve anything.

now, when i get to the point, when I'm not concerned about being able to afford my food or my house, then i will gladly put a few bucks in the cup to help my fellow man, but i think a better idea would be to employ him instead.

Did you know that success rates are generally influenced by the parents status, so maybe, instead of it being their choice to be homeless (which it very well may be for some) they really don't have a choice, and I agree, it's not your responsibility, it's all of ours

maybe not though, he might be homeless because he has a terrible work ethic.
