Michigan's New Anti-Bullying Law

By the Constitution, everybody is entitled to the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, until you begin to infringe on the rights of another people. Yes, we can all agree that we have freedom of speech, but that right can be revoked if you are violating the rights of another person's freedom to pursue happiness. Which is why we have restrictions on our rights, and yet we still call ourselves a free nation.

But while people have the right to believe their own beliefs, we do not have the right to violate any other persons rights. So why now, is this bill being passed which clearly makes it okay to bully and harass the shit out of some kid if they go against your moral or religious beliefs. That to me is just stupid and ignorant. It's a republican way to blueprint how to bully somebody and how to make it legal.

It's taking one giant leap back. Here, in Ann Arbor, they have a lovely anti-bullying law that actually works, and makes Ann Arbor one of the nicest places to go to high school, yet it's being threatened by some idiotic Conservative with his head shoved so far up the religions ass that he can't see anything other than his own beliefs.

This law is making it legal for children, not just children, but ignorant assholes to harass and take away the rights to life and happiness of another person. And that's simply not right.
