My Rant is:
No, I dont want to register another fucking account.
So today I was sifting through job after job on online job boards. It was supposed to be a simple process: Find a job that interests me or that I know I can do and apply for it (IT jobs if you must know). It shouldn't be more than filling out some info and uploading my resume and cover letter right? Wrong. I swear to buddah every single fucking job listed wanted me to create a login. Why in the fuck does every company feel the need to do this? I have to go through 10-20 lines and fill out mundane information that you could have pulled out from my resume. Idiots. I don't understand these companies. I don't want to memorize 50 different logins just to apply for your stupid position that you probably wont hire me for anyways. Chances are, I'm never coming back to this website. What ever happened to just clicking "apply" and uploading a resume? And another thing, why are jobs made to sound like people are nothing but enthusiastic mimes? Get this job description: "...We are growing our support team and are searching for smart, creative, customer-focused individuals to support our users.! If you're a light-hearted person that obsesses over details, thrives in a collaborative environment, and jumps at the opportunity to help others and take on new challenges....." What? I'm applying for a help desk position, not Miss Universe. I don't give a shit about your company. I work for one reason only: it pays. Pay me and I'll do whatever is needed. Seems like companies need people 24/7. Gone are the days of 9 to 5. Consider this description: "....Work full-time hours on a variety of day/evening shifts, including weekends, as needed; broad availability...." Why not just phrase that as "Must be willing to work slave-like hours". Damn it to hell
