My Rant is:
Tattooed tattooers.
Why are you such douchebags!? I walk into your crappy little shop expecting to be treated like a human being, not a piece of junk just because I'm not covered in ink. I treat everyone like they're awesome. And usually, I would think someone covered in tattoos is pretty cool to be around. I love treating people like PEOPLE and getting to know them. Just talking like whatever. But when you give me those mean-ass glares and those judgmental looks, you piss me the fuck off. I was so excited to check out the shops in my town but after being treated like that, I went straight home.
I've asked some friends, "Why don't they act like they're taking me seriously? Why do they act like I'm a three year old walking into their shop saying 'goo goo ga ga tattoo!'? Why did last time I went, people laughed at me?" I walked in with a sketch asking for something more professional to get a better feel of what it would really look like. The dude got on the phone and pretty much ignored me. My friends said "It's because you're too cute. You're clean looking. You actually look nice." Is it like they're trying to intimidate me just because I don't look 'hard?' Because they did a damn good job. I'm 18 and extremely versatile, I look 16 and a prude, PARDON ME. I'm serious about tattoos but I won't be getting one until I find an artist who has a good personality (note to self: good luck).
I have over a thousand dollars in the bank and you, rude tattoo artists, won't be getting a dime of it.
