My Rant is:
Things that piss off this "Gen-X"er.
I've got a buttload of shit to get off my chest, but perhaps a bit of background is in order. I am currently unemployed,a veteran and am generally disheartented and cynical about just about all aspects of modern life in America. Hmm, where to begin? How about politicians? Look, we seem to be under this fucked up illusion that our politicians have our best interest in mind and that our only options are "Democrats" and "Republicans". Let's get real folks, these assholes have been at their OWN AGENDAS for a long fucking time and NONE OF THEM GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT YOU AND ME! All these buttheads care about is their OWN POWER and the agendas they wish to push. Here's a question for you: "Do you REALLY think they give a damn about you if you don't fit into their nice little demographic/can support their campaigns to get re elected? FUCK NO! Do these so-called "superiors"
care about the Constitution or the Bill of Rights? Unless it happens to support their personal agendas, don't count on it, sunshine! And we are suposed to be getting representation for our taxation? If that's the case, then our dollar is farther in the toilet than we thought, because our
"choices" in this country nowdays are "Who is the lesser of two evils." What a fucking joke! Here's
a thought for you. Maybe our politicians are so lousy because we haven't demanded better and our standards, just like the pass/fail standards in our public school system, have been geared toward the dumbest common denominator. Another thing to consider: I believe that most if not all of our problems in this area stem from the fact that our govenment WASN'T DESIGNED FOR A TWO PARTY SYSTEM
TO BEGIN WITH! That's right, boys and girls. There wasn't SUPPOSED to be two parties in this country
because our "Founding Fathers" (With the exception of Jefferson, who wanted a two party system so he could support his mistress and illigitamate kids via a female slave) saw how much of a clusterfuck the parlimentary system (with it's multiple parties) in England had become. They knew that if the congress and such had multiple parties, that both parties would spend more time fighting
amongst themselves and pushing party/personal agendas and less time doing their job: taking care of the government and representing the people who elected them in the first place( i.e: if you didn't know, that's you and me.). I could bitch about more and probably will. I will let the good readers here digest this nugget of anger before I move on to other topics that annoy the shit out of me.
