I hate that I am forced to live in a world where my period is a gross thing. It's not gross, it's the reason we're all here at all. It's normal, natural, and means that women are blessed enough to have the ability to reproduce. A man that thinks a woman's periods are gross has obviously forgotten what her body is preparing for, that his mother's body had to do the same thing for him to even be alive. Why do we have to act like tampons are something disgusting at the store? Why is it so awkward for a man to buy pads or tampons for a woman whose cramps have her bedridden? I dont understand why any aspect of it is so taboo. It's normal, natural, and beautiful. Women are still not where we need to be in the world. Cycles need to be embraced, because they aren't going anywhere, and they are the reason we're all alive.

i'm not particularly grossed out by it, in fact i understand completely that it's entirely natural, but it's not exactly something you share at the dinner table. just like men don't sit around the table and talk about their latest ejaculation over green bean casserole. as natural as something is there are some things the world just doesn't need to know. and there is a chance this includes when your bleeding from a private orifice.

Well, I mean, bleeding from the vagina IS pretty gross, but I suppose in the long run, it happens to all of us girls, it's nothing to be embarrassed or weirded out by.
